Error Messages

Error in HTTPhandler

There are two possible causes of this error

  • A computer cookie has been corrupted or is causing a conflict
  • You are trying to access content that is no longer in the EBSCO database or that the EBSCO server is having trouble retrieving.

What to do when you see this

  1. Clear the cache and cookies in your browser. See Clear Browser Cache for instructions
  2. Close the browser and then open it again
  3. Try to access the database again

If these steps do not work, it is possible that the journal or article you are looking for is no longer available or there is a problem displaying it. You can

  1. Try getting to the database by clicking a different link, such as the one in the Databases A-Z list
  2. Call 281-283-3910 , text (281) 816-4341, or chat with a librarian, using the box on the right, for help

Blank Screen in IE

In Windows 10, using the IE browser, you see a blank white screen when you try to access any EBSCO database. Here is how to fix the problem in the browser:

  1. Click Tools in the top menu bar
  2. Click Internet Options
  3. Click Security tab
  4. Select Trusted Sites zone
  5. Click Sites button to the right of Trusted Sites
  6. Add these EBSCO URLs one at a time
  7. Uncheck “Require server verification”
  8. Click Close button at bottom of Trusted Sites box
  9. Click OK button at bottom of Internet Options box
