QR Codes, short for Quick Response Codes, are a type of barcode designed to be read by taking a picture with the camera on your mobile phone. They are also called 2d codes or mobile barcodes. Already popular in Japan, QR Codes have started to be more widely used in the United States. QR Codes link users to mobile content. You might have already seen them around. Retail store circulars are using them to connect you to their online merchandise, and publishers are putting them on books to allow you to access online author information. Even Neumann Library has started using QR Codes.
